College Football Week 1
After a snoozer of a game last weekend between Florida and Miami, the College Football season is heating up this weekend and we have covered with all the big games. The weekend kicked-off last night with a few games and saw defending National Champion Clemson looking primed for a repeat, while the Pac-12 lost another key game. After Arizona lost to Hawaii as 11-point favorites last weekend, UCLA went to Cincinnati and lost for the second year in a row to the Bearcats. The big game this weekend for the conference will be Oregon vs. Auburn and we’ll have that preview and prediction on our Week 1 College Football Free Picks page along with several other matchups worth watching. One of those games is tonight and features a Power 5 dual between Oklahoma State and Oregon State. The game is expected to be a shootout with the Cowboys 14-point favorites, but Jay Cooper thinks the Beavers can hang around. Red Sox vs Angels Preview and Free Pick
The Boston Red Sox have been playing much better lately, but they can’t seem to gain any ground on the red-hot Oakland A’s in the American League wild card standings. Boston prepares for their last set of games West of the Rockies when they conclude an eight-game road trip with the first of three at the slumping Los Angeles Angels on Friday night. The Red Sox have won four of their first five on the trip and nine of 12 overall, are still 5.5 games behind the A’s for the second wild card spot with Tampa Bay 4.5 in front of Boston. The offense had fun in a two-game sweep at Colorado earlier this week with Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers and J.D. Week 4 Preseason Ends With 10-6 Mark
The worst week of the NFL season played out last night with Week 4 of the preseason and we managed to take advantage of the oddsmakers mistakes and post a 10-6 record on all games. We now have only six days to wait until the real action begins next Thursday night. Oklahoma St vs Oregon St Preview and Free Pick
Two Power 5 schools with really nothing in common except the color of their uniforms will meet for the first time on Friday night as the Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the Oregon State Beavers in the 2019 season opener for both teams. The Cowboys, led by 15th-year head coach Mike Gundy, have been a very solid football team over the last several years, but can never get over the hump and into elite status. Oklahoma State had three straight seasons of 10 wins before falling to 7-6 a year ago because of a very poor defense. They started out 4-1 last season, but didn’t win a road game the rest of the way until a 38-33 victory over Missouri in the Liberty Bowl.
