The Golden State Warriors are two wins away from becoming the first team in NBA history to go through the entire postseason without a loss as they get ready to invade Quicken Loans Arena for a Game 3 matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Head coach Steve Kerr returned to the sidelines for Golden State in Game 2 and has seen his team win the first two games by an average of 20.5, but isn’t getting too cocky. “Well, it’s been a great run but none of that matters unless we can finish the job with this series,” Kerr told reporters. “Trust me, we know. It was 2-0 last year, we lost.” Golden State has cruised to 14 consecutive postseason victories and seems even harder to beat with small forward Kevin Durant playing like a future Hall-of-Famer and averaging 35.5 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the series. Point guard Stephen Curry is averaging 30 points 10.5 assists and eight rebounds in the series after his first career triple-double on Sunday, and shooting guard Klay Thompson displayed signs of breaking out of a postseason slump by scoring 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting in Game 2. Curry also nailed all 14 free-throw attempts in Game 2 after not attempting a single one in the opener.

LeBron James continues to be the only threat this Cleveland team has as his teammates have yet to step-up around him and help out. James recorded a triple-double of 29 points, 14 assists, and 11 rebounds in Game 2, while Kevin Love added 27 points and Kyrie Irving 19. The Cavaliers forced 20 Golden State turnovers on Sunday, but couldn’t stop them in the deciding third quarter. This series is definitely over. The only question remaining is, will Cleveland win a home game and will they even keep it close. The Warriors are the far superior team and could very well be the best of all-time. I think the Cavs will keep this to single-digits, but Golden State will cover.
