It appears this division will come down to the two teams who played in the NFC Championship Game a year ago. The Eagles and Commanders have separated themselves from the Cowboys and Giants and are set for another great battle. The Giants made some improvements on offense, but Dallas doesn’t look any closer to their first Super Bowl appearance in 30 years.
NFC East Standings [2024]

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-160)
The Eagles lost some veteran leadership on defense in the offseason, but they have plenty of young talent on that side of the ball who will step up. They also used their first four Draft picks on defense and have one of the league’s best coordinators in Vic Fangio. It was a magical year in Philly that ended in a Super Bowl blowout win over Kansas City. With Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley leading the way, this team could be a force for the next few years.
Odds to Win NFC East (as of 8/11/25):
Philadelphia Eagles -160
Washington Commanders +230
Dallas Cowboys +575
New York Giants +2200
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (+230)
The season ended with a blowout loss at Philadelphia in the conference championship game, but it was a very successful season in D.C. With a talented young QB in his second season and the addition of Deebo Samuel, this Commanders team will put up some points. The face that McLaurin wants out is discouraging, but someone will step up. The Commanders didn’t do much to improve the defense, so it’s up to Daniels and the offense this year.

DALLAS COWBOYS (+575)
As long as Jerry Jones is in control of this team and his coaches, Dallas will never get back to the top. I don’t care how much talent this team has. Jones is cheap and nobody likes playing for him. All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons now wants out of Big D. Prescott is healthy, which is encouraging, but is that enough?
Season Win Totals (as of 8/11/25):
Philadelphia Eagles 11.5 u150
Washington Commanders 9.5 o125
Dallas Cowboys 7.5 o160
New York Giants 5.5 u135
NEW YORK GIANTS (+2200)
New York is a tough team to figure out. They had a great Draft by grabbing a difference-maker on defense in Abdul Carter. Then they took QB Jaxson Dart with the 25th pick in hopes of finding the next Eli Manning. Still, New York has one of the worst offensive lines in the league, which could mean a long season for Dart. The schedule is brutal from the start with games at Washington and Buffalo before hosting the Chiefs and Chargers.
Jay’s Season Win Total Best Bet: Based on what I just said above, I have to take the Giants to go under their win total. There’s a chance New York won’t be favored in a single game this season based on looking at their schedule. Six wins is a lot to ask for when you have to play against the NFC North and AFC West. Not to mention the Eagles and Commanders four times.
Giants UNDER 5.5 -135
Jay’s Pick to Win Division: I worry about the Super Bowl hangover, but this Eagles team is loaded and I don’t think the Commanders are quite there… yet. I need to see Jayden Daniels perform well again in his second season before I can pick Washington. The Eagles will be tested this year, but they are still the team to beat in this division.
Eagles -160
