The point spread for this year’s Liberty Bowl between the Cincinnati Bearcats and Vanderbilt Commodores opened up at -1.5 on December 5th in favor of the Commodores at Bovada Sportsbook. As of Monday night (12/26), the line has inched up to -1.5 -115. The total opened up at 48 and has gone up to 48.5. Right now, 69% of the betting public is on Vanderbilt and 56% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.
Bearcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in December.
Bearcats are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.
Commodores are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.
Commodores are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.
Under is 4-1 in Bearcats last 5 games following a ATS win.
Under is 6-2 in Bearcats last 8 Bowl games.
Under is 4-1 in Commodores last 5 games on fieldturf.
Over is 4-1 in Commodores last 5 games as a favorite.
My Prediction: Cincinnati has the rush defense to slow down Vanderbilt’s running attack. The Bearcats only allow 93 yards a game on the ground. The Cincinnati offense will have QB Zach Collaros back behind center. I really don’t think Vandy can keep up with the Bearcats offense in this one.
Cincinnati +1.5
