Under is 6-2 in Lions last 8 games on fieldturf. Over is 20-7 in Lions last 27 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Over is 4-1 in Saints last 5 games in January. Over is 4-1 in Saints last 5 games on fieldturf. Prediction: This Wild Card game is a rematch of a December 4th contest in which the Saints beat the Lions 31-17. Since then, the Lions have won 3 of 4 and are averaging 35 points a game. The problem is, they are also allowing 27 points a game. That’s not a good stat to have coming to the Superdome. The Saints have covered 12 of their 16 games this year. There doesn’t seem to be a line big enough they can’t cover. This line of 11 seems like a gift. While playing at home, the Saints average 41 points a game. You take that and add the fact that this is a playoff game at night against a team that just can’t stop anyone right now.
