Philadelphia (3-3) at Carolina (5-0)
When: Sunday, October 25th 2015
Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
Time: 8:30 ET | TV: NBC
The Carolina Panthers will be bidding for their first ever 6-0 start when they host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Carolina rolled to a 4-0 start over arguably some of the worst teams in the NFL, but they made a statement last week by coming back and beating the Seattle Seahawks on the road 27-23. Carolina put together four 80-yard touchdown drives in the game and Cam Newton threw for 269 yards and a TD while running for another. The Panthers will be tested again tonight against Philadelphia. Jonathan Stewart is coming off a season best 78 yards rushing and his first two rushing TD’s of the season while tight end Greg Olsen has three touchdowns, 17 catches and a pair of 100-yard games in his last three. The Panthers rank 3rd in rushing offense, but 29th in passing. Their defense is holding opponents to only 338 yards a game and less than 100 on the ground. Panthers CB Josh Norman has an NFL best four interceptions, two for TDs.

The Eagles started out 1-3, but are coming off impressive lopsided victories over New Orleans and the New York Giants to move into a tie atop the NFC East. Quarterback Sam Bradford continues to struggle, however. He threw 3 interceptions in last week’s 27-7 win over New York and now has nine for the season. RB DeMarco Murray is starting to get the ball more and its paying off. He’s averaging 100 yards a game over this last two with a pair of touchdowns. The Eagles defense is starting to get after the quarterback more and forcing turnovers. They have forced 16 turnovers and recorded eight of its 14 sacks in the past two weeks while limiting the Giants to 247 total yards. The defense is ranked 7th in points allowed with 18.3 despite being on the field the most of any team in the league. Philly will be going all out tonight as they have a bye week before visiting Dallas on November 8th.
I really don’t believe in Carolina yet. Last week was a fluke as Seattle has been blowing fourth quarter leads all year. I’m not a big believer in the Eagles yet either, but I do think they have more talent and can come out with a victory tonight.
Pick: Eagles +3
