The point spread for Friday Night’s ESPN game between the Boise State Broncos and Toledo Rockets opened up at -18.5 in favor of Boise State at Bovada Sportsbook on Monday afternoon. The line has since been bet up to 20.5 as of Wednesday night. Bovada hasn’t released a total yet, but most places have it at 59.5. Right now, 84% of the betting public is on Boise and 86% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.
Broncos are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. MAC.
Broncos are 20-7 ATS in their last 27 road games.
Rockets are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
Rockets are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games on fieldturf.
Under is 5-1-1 in Broncos last 7 games on fieldturf.
Under is 5-1-1 in Broncos last 7 games as a favorite.
Over is 6-2 in Rockets last 8 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game.
Over is 7-3 in Rockets last 10 games overall.
My Prediction: Toledo came into this year as one of the favorites to win the MAC Championship. So far, they have proven worthy despite a 1-1 record. They put up 58 points against New Hampshire in week 1 and then nearly upset Ohio State on the road last week. They have 18 returning starters from last year including WR Eric Page who caught 99 passes last year and already has 17 this year. Boise State has already been declared 12-0 after their opening season win against Georgia. They better not take the Rockets for granted tonight as 26,000 (yes, that’s the capacity) screaming fans will be primed for one of the biggest games in recent memory for Toledo. Boise wins the game, but the Rockets keep it close.
Toledo +20.5
