Prediction
I’m going to take the home team in Game 5 of what has been a terrific series. Yes, Detroit has their ace on the mound, but he hasn’t had much luck against Seattle this season. The Mariners are a perfect 3-0 when Skubal starts this year, including Game 2 of this series. Kirby, the Game 1 starter, will go for the Mariners. Kirby pitched well in that game and has allowed two earned runs or less in four straight starts. The atmosphere will be electric on Friday night and that will help carry Seattle to victory.
