The Baltimore Ravens come in 6-2 and tied for first with the Steelers in the AFC North. The Atlanta Falcons are also 6-2 and have a half game lead over the Saints in the NFC South. Interestingly enough, this will be the 9th straight year these intra-conference teams have played each other. Tonight’s game will break the 4-4 tie in this 9 year stretch. Not only has everyone of the previous 8 meetings gone under the total, they’ve easily gone under. This year’s game will mark the highest set total at 44. Both teams allow less than 20 points a game this year and all 4 of Baltimore’s road games have gone under the total this year. The Ravens seem to be able to shut down and quiet the home team’s offense. I was leaning toward taking the Falcons, but the under trend in this series is too much to ignore. I’m taking the under.
