Betting Odds: Lines&Odds
After a successful return to the links, the PGA Tour now heads over to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for this week’s RBC Heritage with another strong field. World No. 1 Rory McIlroy is favored (+1200) once again. He fell apart on the final day last Sunday at the Charles Schwab Challenge and finished T32.
The RBC Heritage usually is played the week after the Masters and usually doesn’t have this strong of a field. This tournament has been played annually since 1969 at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island. Harbour Town Golf Links, which has an iconic red-and-white lighthouse behind the 18th green, is a par 71 measuring 7,100 yards with gusty winds sometimes making things more difficult.
This will be the first time McIlroy has played here since 1999 when he was 19 years old and he will have a strong group of competitors behind him. Last week’s winner Daniel Berger, is +3300 on the odds board after he beat Collin Morikawa in a playoff. The defending champion is Taiwan’s C.T. Pan (+12500), who shot a final-round 4-under 67 to jump from fifth entering Sunday and earn his first Tour win. Dustin Johnson, a South Carolina native, led after 54 holes but imploded with a final-round 77.
