Sparta, Kentucky
Betting Odds: Lines&Odds
The NASCAR season shifts to Kentucky Speedway this week for the 10th running of the Quaker State 400 presented by Walmart. Once again, due to the Coronavirus, the speedway, along with state, local and NASCAR officials, decided not to allow fans at its five races this weekend. Kentucky will host an unprecedented five races – two XFinity Series races, one Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race, one ARCA Menards Series race and one Cup Series race – starting Thursday night. All can be bet at Bovada Sportsbook.

The changes to the schedule mean the Cup Series will run during the day at Kentucky for the first time since 2013. The Sunday afternoon start will add a degree of difficulty to the drivers because track temperatures will be higher in the heat of the day. Since the Cup Series restarted, Kevin Harvick and Denny Hamlin each have four wins and have combined to win half of the races in the Cup Series thus far. Harvick is the +400 favorite this week with Hamlin fourth on the odds board at +550.
Kyle Busch (+550) is the winningest driver across all series with eight wins at Kentucky Speedway. Teammate Martin Truex Jr. also has two wins at the Quaker State 400.
The green flag drops at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET.

Quaker State 400 Pick
I’ll go with Kyle Busch this week. He has yet to win this season but does have seven top 5 finishes and has a good history here. In nine Cup races at Kentucky Speedway, Busch’s average finish is 4.67. I’ll take Kyle Busch at +550.
