Arizona is coming off a pretty dominating performance at home against a Kansas team that beat them three weeks prior, while the Cyclones suffered their first home loss of the season on Saturday. I expect Iowa State to bounce back strong here on the road. They have the fourth-best road record in conference play and can hang around their their three-point shooting. In their two recent losses, Iowa State shot 28% from three vs. BYU and then 33% against Texas Tech, well below their 38% season average in conference play. The Cyclones also have the second-best turnover margin in the Big 12. In terms of offensive efficiency, these teams are 15th and 16th in the country and both are also in the Top 10 in KenPom defensive rating. They’re more equal than people realize and I expect a tight game throughout. Give me the points.
