The point spread for this year’s Little Caesars Bowl between the Western Michigan Broncos and Purdue Boilermakers opened up at -1.5 on December 5th in favor of the Boilermakers BetOnline Sportsbook. As of Saturday afternoon (12/17), the line has moved up to 2.5. The total opened up at 61 and has gone down to 60. Right now, 62% of the betting public is on Purdue and 51% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Broncos are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall.

Broncos are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games on fieldturf.

Boilermakers are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

Boilermakers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win.

Over is 6-2 in Broncos last 8 games overall.

Over is 20-7 in Broncos last 27 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.

Under is 5-2-1 in Boilermakers last 8 non-conference games.

Over is 5-2 in Boilermakers last 7 games in December.

My Prediction: Western Michigan comes into this game with the 8th best passing offense in the Nation averaging 329 yards a game. They are led by QB Alex Carder who has thrown 28 touchdowns this year. While their defense also gives up points, I’m not confident that Purdue can keep up with them. The Boilermakers looked bad all year and barely beat lowly Indiana in the last game of the year to get a Bowl bid.

Western Michigan +2.5
