Ohio State (10-2) vs Oregon (10-2)
Recent Meetings The big matchup in this year’s Rose Bowl will be Oregon’s offense against Ohio State’s defense. The Buckeyes come in as one of the top defenses in the Nation allowing only 12.2 points per game. Their rush defense has been particularly strong only allowing opposing teams 83 yards per game. Ohio State will have their hands full with Oregon’s QB Jeremiah Masoli. He rushed for 659 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. The Ducks leading rusher is LaMichael James who’s rushed for 1,480 yards on an impressive 6.9 yards per carry. The Buckeyes’ prized recruit Terrelle Pryor can also run the ball. He has 708 yards on the ground to lead the Buckeyes. When forced to pass though, he’s not as impressive. He’s only completed 55% of his passes while throwing 10 interceptions.
