Despite the 8-4 record this year, California would considering their season a mild disappointment. They were supposed to contend for the Pac 10 title, but got blown out in their first 2 Conference games by Oregon and USC. They have failed to cover in 6 of their last 9 games overall. Running back Jahvid Best will not play in this game which will put more pressure on QB Kevin Riley. The Utes have a very good pass defense, only allowing 173 yards a game through the air. With a balance rushing and passing attack, I believe the Utes will control this game and win outright.
