This is the Big East opener for both teams. The Cardinals have owned Pitt this decade, winning 7 straight until last year’s 41-7 thrashing by Pitt. The Panthers are led by Quarterback Bill Stull and running back Dion Lewis. Stull has thrown 8 touchdowns to only 1 INT, while Lewis is averaging 5.7 yards a carry and 7 TD’s. Junior QB Justin Burke is having a tough year for the Cards. He’s just over 50% passing with 3 TD’s to 4 INT’s. These two teams will end up the season at opposite ends of the Big East standings. Pitt is too strong for this young Louisville team and laying only 6.5 points seems like a gift.
