Dustin Johnson missed the cut last week at the Memorial, but will be the +1100 favorite coming in this week to Minnesota. It’s the 3M Open from TPC Twin Cities which was scheduled this week even before the Covid-19 shutdown. Head over to Bovada Sportsbook for all of your golf betting needs.
The field involves Johnson and Brooks Koepka, but goes down in quality very quickly after that. It’s one of the smaller purses on the Tour and with the Memorial last week and the big money WGC event next week, it’s no wonder why. New world No. 1 Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are among those taking the week off.
TPC Twin Cities is a par 72 playing around 7,200 yards and will be hosting a PGA event for just the second year. It had been running a Champions Tour event for years. Minnesota native Tom Lehman helped upgrade the course by redesigning it.
Matthew Wolff won the inaugural 3M Open last year, but is +2200 to repeat. He beat out Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeChambeau by one stroke. – neither are playing this week. Tony Finau, Tommy Fleetwood and Brooks Koepka are each +1400 on the odds board behind Johnson. Finau was the first-round leader at the Memorial but shot 73-78 on the weekend to finish T8. Koepka was T62 at the Memorial and didn’t play very well at the 2019 3M Open with a T65. This will be Fleetwood’s first PGA Tour event since the restart.
