The point spread for Tuesday’s Game 1 of the 2011 NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat opened up at -4.5 in favor of the Heat at Bdg.eu and the total was set at 188. The spread has not moved as of Monday night and the total has dropped a point to 187. So far, 56% of the betting public is on Miami and 64% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.
Mavericks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 3 or more days rest.
Mavericks are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Southeast.

Heat are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 playoff games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5.
Over is 4-1 in Mavericks last 5 vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
Over is 6-2 in Mavericks last 8 vs. NBA Southeast.
Over is 7-0 in Heat last 7 games as a favorite.
Over is 5-0 in Heat last 5 playoff games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5.
Mavericks are 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Miami.
Over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Miami.
My Prediction: This is the moment Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Dewayne Wade have been waiting for. Now it’s time to take it to the next level. Dirk Nowitzki of the Mavericks will want revenge from losing the NBA Finals to Miami in 2006. You would think the Heat should be big favorites to win this series, but the Mavs finished the regular season only 1 game behind the Heat and won both meetings this year. I see this series going 6 or 7 games, but the Heat will be up for this first game and play with a lot of emotion and determination. They win and cover Game 1.
