The point spread for Friday’s contest between the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers opened up at -4 in favor of the Sixers at on Thursday afternoon and the total was set at 181.5. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Under is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings.

Underdog is 3-1-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

My Prediction: The Sixers return home after a successful 2-1 road trip while the Mavs hit the road after 3 consecutive home wins. The Sixers have been a pleasant surprise this year with a 20-10 record. Dallas is starting to play very well as of late. They have won 5 in a row including wins over the Nuggets, Clippers, and Blazers. Offensively, these teams have very similar numbers. The Sixers have a slight edge on defense as they only allow 87 points a game. At home, the Sixers are even better on defense allowing only 83.6 points a game. I think with the fact that this is the Sixers only home game sandwiched inbetween 2 road trips, gives them the slight edge and a win tonight.

76ers -3
