The Vegas Golden Knights continue their long road trip when they try to avenge a rare home loss by taking on the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night at Wells Fargo Center. The Knights own an impressive 24-7 home record, but one of those setbacks came last month to the Flyers, who controlled the game in a 4-1 victory. Philadelphia has cooled off after surging to the top of the Metropolitan Division, but rebounded with a nice 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday and are only two points out of first place again. The Pacific Division-leading Golden Knights have won three of four on their five-game road trip after Saturday’s 2-1 shootout victory at Buffalo as Marc-Andre Fleury made 31 saves for his 399th career victory. Fleury, who is 24-9-3 with a .930 save percentage this season, will join 12 other goalies with 400 victories after his next victory. Both teams have been struggling on the power play of late, with the Flyers two for their last 26 and Vegas 2-for-19.

Vegas is going through some injury issues as we near the playoffs with forwards Reilly Smith (upper-body) returning home for further evaluation and James Neal (lower-body) missing nine of the last 10 games – the two have combined for 46 goals this season. Jonathan Marchessault leads the team with 65 points, but has been kept off the scoresheet on the road trip, while William Karlsson tops the Knights with 35 goals. Veteran forward David Perron is tied with Karlsson for second on the team with a career-high 61 points and has 45 assists – 10 more than any other season.

Captain Claude Giroux continues to make his case for the Hart Trophy with two goals and five assists during a six-game point streak. Jakub Voracek is tied for the league lead with 58 assists through Saturday and has three goals in the past five games to push his season total to 74 points – seven from his career high in 2014-15. Robert Hagg is expected to miss two weeks with a lower-body injury, fellow defenseman Johnny Oduya (upper-body) is day-to-day, so rookie blue liner Travis Sanheim was recalled. Goalie Petr Mrazek, who won his first three games after being acquired from Detroit, earned the victory on Saturday after losing his previous four.

Vegas is the second-highest scoring team in the league, but they’ve been held to two goals or less in four of the last seven games. Philly got a much-needed win on Saturday to get back some of the momentum they lost and should be able to replicate their dominance of the Knights last month.
