Thanks to the Bengals beating the No. 1 seed Titans last week, the Chiefs (No. 2) will get to play in the friendly confines of Arrowhead Stadium, where they’ve gone 9-2 this season. In the Wild Card round, they covered as 11-point home favorites against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and then won as 2.5-point home favorites against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round. The Chiefs only loss since Week 8 came at Cincinnati in Week 17.
The Bengals enter as underdogs for the second straight week. They were 4-point road dogs when they faced the Titans in last week’s Divisional Round. Despite starting strong, the Bengals found themselves tied 16-16 with the Titans by the end of the third quarter. Then, with 20 seconds left on the clock, kicker Evan McPherson made a 52-yard field goal for the 19-16 win, earning a spot in the Conference Championship for the first time since 1988.
