The Golden State Warriors look to remain perfect this postseason when they go for the four-game sweep against the Utah Jazz on Monday night in Salt Lake City. The Jazz led by as many as nine points in the third quarter and 75-74 early in the fourth, but the Warriors went on a 10-4 run and never trailed again. Steph Curry and Kevin Durant hit back-to-back 3’s to give Golden State a 92-84 lead with 3:04 left. Curry and fellow guard Klay Thompson were a combined 7-for-29 from the field and 3-for-15 from 3-point land, leaving Durant to lead the Warriors. Durant had 38 points and 13 rebounds as the Warriors are one win away from another trip to the Western Conference finals. Head coach Steve Kerr had a spinal cord leak procedure on his back and did not travel with the team, but rumors are they he could possibly return before the end of the postseason. Draymond Green was hit with his first technical foul of the postseason when he was assessed the infraction while sitting on the bench and yelling out toward referees in Game 3. Golden State committed just seven turnovers on Saturday – none in the second half.

The Jazz held the shooters in check, but still don’t have enough to compete with Golden State yet. Once again, Utah was led by Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gobert as the bench contributed just 10 points. Hayward led the Jazz with 29 points, while Gobert chipped in 21 points to go along with his 15 rebounds, but the team shot 39.0% as a whole. “We played like we’re capable of playing for the first time in the series,” Utah coach Quin Snyder told reporters. “But … that’s why they are who they are.” Utah has been without second-leading scorer George Hill (toe) the last two games and he remains questionable for Game 4. Shelvin Mack, in for the injured George, scored 11 points, but was just 3-of-11 from the field. The Jazz are attempting to become the first NBA team to ever recover from a 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven to win the series.

Utah is going to get swept here, but they’ll have enough pride to play hard and keep it close. If George returns, they have a chance to avoid a sweep with a win, but I doubt it.
Pick: Jazz +8
