Prediction
The SEC is loaded with storied programs, but one team that got lost in the shuffle last season was South Carolina. The Gamecocks came within one win of reaching the College Football Playoffs after a strong finish that saw them beating four ranked teams. Expectations are high for this team, but the same can’t be said for Virginia Tech. The Hokies have just one 10-win season since 2011 and head coach Brent Pry is on the hot seat. South Carolina has much more NFL talent on their roster and should cruise to an easy Week 1 victory.
