Utah State vs Ohio Spread, Trends, and Free Pick – 2011 Idaho Potato Bowl ]]> include($base_url . “/includes/header.htm”); ?>
The point spread for this year’s Idaho Potato Bowl between the Utah State Aggies and Ohio Bobcats opened up at -3 +105 in favor of the Aggies at Bovada Sportsbook on Monday afternoon. Since Bodog just released this line there has been no movement as of yet. Bodog hasn’t released a total, but most books have it set at 57.5. Right now, 51% of the betting public are on the Aggies and 53% are on the under. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight. Aggies are 5-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Aggies are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games. Bobcats are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Bobcats are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0. Over is 5-1-1 in Aggies last 7 games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in their previous game. Over is 4-1-1 in Aggies last 6 vs. a team with a winning record. Over is 6-1 in Bobcats last 7 games as an underdog. Under is 5-1 in Bobcats last 6 neutral site games. My Prediction: Utah State started the season by almost upsetting Auburn on the road, but came up short 42-38. After that, they lost 4 of 6, but have ended the season on a 5-game winning streak. Ohio lost their chance at a January Bowl game by losing the MAC Championship 23-20 to Northern Illinois. They now must make a long trip out West to the cold blue turf to face a team that will have a short bus trip and many more fans. I like the Aggies in this one.
