Recent Meetings
The last 2 weeks of the College Football season has seen the #1 team in the AP Poll go down. Two weeks ago it was Alabama and last week Ohio State lost at Wisconsin. Now it’s Oregon’s turn at #1. The Ducks also sit #2 in the recently released BCS Standings behind Oklahoma. It’s a pretty safe bet they won’t lose their #1 AP ranking. With Oklahoma playing at a tough Missouri team on Saturday, the Ducks could be in position to claim the #1 BCS ranking as well. Word just came down that Bruins QB Kevin Prince will miss tonight’s game with stiffness in his right knee. Little used backup Richard Brehaut will start in his place. He led the Bruins to a 48-28 win at Washington State a few weeks ago, but was only 12 of 23 for 128 yards and Washington State is the worst team in the PAC-10. The Bruins defense is 65th in the nation allowing 369 yards a game while Oregon’s offense ranks first with 570 yards a game. The Ducks have also scored 54 points a game this year. This line as moved up to 24 because of the news with Prince. I don’t like laying this much especially in conference games, but this one could get ugly. I’m taking the Ducks for a small play.
