The Portland Trail Blazers finally come home after a rough road trip and will play six of their next seven at Moda Center beginning Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Blazers, who sit in last place in the Northwest Division, went 2-4 on a recent six-game trek including a 117-94 triumph at Chicago on Monday, snapping a four-game skid. Carmelo Anthony had his best game since signing with Portland by recording 25 points as the Blazers posted its most lopsided win of the season. The Thunder broke a three-game losing streak on Monday with a 100-97 win at Golden State as 4.5 favorites and will try to avenge a loss to Portland back on Oct. 30. Despite going 2-3 in their last five games, Oklahoma City has covered the spread in four of them, but are just 1-5 ATS on one day of rest entering Wednesday’s contest in Portland. The Thunder won its last two games at Portland in the regular season but lost all three visits during the first round of the playoffs in the Spring.

Center Steven Adams is heating up for the Thunder, going 13-for-16 from the floor over the last two games and recorded his first double-double since Nov. 5 in Monday’s win over the Warriors (10 points, 10 boards). Dennis Schroder led all scorers with 22 points off the bench to help OKC win it’s first road game in seven tries. Center Nerlens Noel also contributed big off the bench with five blocked shots to go along with his nine points and five rebounds in 20 minutes of action. The Thunder will begin a home-and-home with the New Orleans Pelicans starting Friday.

Blazers center Hassan Whiteside missed two games with a hip issue but came back strong on Monday with 13 points and 12 rebounds in 22 minutes for his second-straight double-double. Guard CJ McCollum scored 21 points at Chicago and Damian Lillard had 13 and 12 assists as Portland improved to 5-8 on the road – the most any team has played away from home. Anthony is averaging 16 points and 5.3 rebounds in four games since joining the team. Forward Rodney Hood made sure all five starters scored in double-figures Monday with 16 points to go along with six boards. Portland will host Chicago on Friday.

Portland is much better than their record indicates and should have no problem outscoring the Thunder here. OKC does not play well on one day rest for some reason (1-5 ATS) and just don’t have enough offense to hang with the Blazers on the road.
