This contest has turned into more of whose coaching and who isn’t. The Bearcats head man bolted Cincinnati for greener pastures of South Bend, Indiana. Who’s to blame him, though. He did everything he could in Cincinnati including going undefeated, only to be left out of the National Championship Game. Cincinnati’s offense shouldn’t miss a beat as they should be fired up for this game. On the other side, Urban Meyer said he was taking a leave of absence because of his health only to retract his statement and now says he will coach the Gators. I’m sure he didn’t realize the recruiting ramifications of his initial decision. The Gators are coming off a bad beating in the SEC Championship Game at the hands of Alabama. This isn’t the Bowl game they wanted to be in. I’m having a hard time with this point spread. Cincinnati has the offense to stay with Florida, but after seeing some of these other Bowl games, I don’t know. Some high powered offenses have struggled so far and I’m sure it’s because of the layoff. The Bearcats have no defense and the speed of the Gators offense could have a field day. I’m going to take Florida small here.

Pick: Florida -12.5
