Stanford vs Oregon Preview and Free Pick – October 2nd, 2010 ]]> include($base_url . “/includes/header.htm”); ?>
Recent Meetings The loudest stadium in the Country will host a huge Pac-10 game tonight as the Oregon Ducks play host to the Stanford Cardinal. If you’re looking for defense, then you’re looking at the wrong game. Both of these teams will pass and run up and down the field. Oregon is ranked 1st in the Nation averaging 57.8 points per game while the Cardinal are 4th with 48 points a game. It’s no wonder the Ducks are averaging 560 yards a game on offense. They beat one of the worst FBS teams in New Mexico 72-0 and also beat up FCS foe Portland State 69-0. Stanford’s wins have been more impressive. They shutout UCLA 35-0 at the Rose Bowl. The same UCLA team that just went into Austin, Texas and manhandled the Longhorns. Last week, the Cardinal beat Notre Dame 37-14 in South Bend. Stanford has one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the Country in Andrew Luck. He’s 3rd in the Nation with 11 touchdowns passes and is also 2nd on his team with 163 yards rushing. The Ducks big gun is RB La Michael James. He’s 9th in the Nation with 475 yards rushing and has played 1 less game than everyone ahead of him. This one is tough to call, but based on the way the Cardinal have played on the road this year, I have to go with them. Stanford has covered 4 straight road games and the Ducks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Pac-10 games. Pick: Stanford +7 CLICK HERE TO BET THE STANFORD CARDINAL!
