The New York Knicks salvaged the final game of a three-game trip on Saturday and will return home for one game before hitting the road for three more starting Wednesday night. The Knicks, who snapped a four-game losing streak against the Pelicans last time out, will host the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. The Spurs, who knocked off the Knicks at home last week, kicked off a stretch with nine of 11 on the road with their lowest-scoring performance of the season at Detroit on Saturday 93-79. Kristaps Porzingis scored seven of his 30 points in the final 90 seconds on Saturday to lift the Knicks the win over New Orleans, two nights after falling to the Spurs. San Antonio averaged 112 points during a three-game winning streak but shot 36.9% from the floor, including 5-of-26 from 3-point range, in Saturday’s loss at Detroit. San Antonio shot 51.3% from the field in the win over the Knicks, led by 25 points from LaMarcus Aldridge. San Antonio lost 94-90 in their only trip to the Garden last season despite getting 36 points from Kawhi Leonard.

Pau Gasol scored an efficient 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting and pulled down 11 rebounds to compliment Aldridge in Thursday’s win over the Knicks, his fourth consecutive double-double, but slumped to eight points on 4-of-9 shooting at Detroit. Aldridge scored 15 in the loss – seven fewer than his season average. Leonard, who has been out most of the season and is slowly working his way back, logged a season-high 28 minutes and scored a team-high 18 points in the loss after sitting out Thursday’s game against New York.

Jarrett Jack scored 15 points on Saturday, including the two clinching free throws in the final seconds to help the Knicks upend the Pelicans. Michael Beasley contributed 15 points off the bench on Saturday and went off for 23 points and 12 rebounds the game before in San Antonio on 9-of-13 shooting. Rookie point guard Frank Ntilikina is 1-of-10 from 3-point range over the last four games. The Knicks are 15-6 at home but will play 13 of the next 16 on the road beginning tomorrow night in Washington.
NBA SCORES – ODDS – PUBLIC PLAYS
Even though they’re an 18-18 team, the Knicks are one of the best in the league at home. I think they keep that going tonight and four points seems like a lot to give this New York team at the Garden.
