The Saskatchewan Roughriders enter the weekend as the lone remaining undefeated team in the league after Montreal lost to Toronto last night. The Roughriders head west to Vancouver to take on the British Columbia Lions in a Week 6 clash Saturday night. B.C. is coming off an easy 44-28 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to extend their winning streak to four games and sit a half-game behind Saskatchewan in the West Division standings.

Despite being undefeated, the Riders are not getting much love from the oddsmakers, who have pegged them as 7.5-point underdogs on Saturday. This will be the first of two meetings this season between these West rivals. The home team won all three meetings in 2023 and Saskatchewan covered the spread in two of them, with the other being a Push. B.C. was favored by 10 points in all three contests, winning two and losing the lone game in Regina 34-29.

SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS

The Roughriders played their first game without quarterback Trevor Harris, who suffered a kneed injury in Week 3 that has sidelined him indefinitely. Harris had seven touchdowns and 872 passing yards on the season being going down. Shea Patterson made his CFL debut in the win over Toronto last week, running and throwing for touchdowns. The defense did the rest for Saskatchewan, forcing five Argonauts turnovers. The Riders will host Winnipeg next week.

BRITISH COLUMBIA LIONS

After dropping their first game of the season, the Lions have rolled to four wins in a row and a 3-1 ATS run. Overall, this team has averaged 30 points per game during their streak thanks to the play of Vernon Adams Jr. The veteran quarterback leads the CFL with 1,752 passing yards and 11 scoring passes including four touchdowns against Hamilton last week. The defense ranks fifth in the league in points allowed at 25.0 and sixth against the pass (292.2).

Prediction:
This is too many points to give the lone undefeated team in the league. I know Saskatchewan is using a backup QB, but Harris was good last week and the defense was terrific. The Riders should be able to keep it close.

Pick: Roughriders +7.5
