The point spread for Thursday Night’s AFC West contest between the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers opened up at -7 on Tuesday afternoon in favor of the Chargers at Bodog Sportsbook. As of Wednesday morning, the line has not moved off 7. The total opened up at 48 and has not moved either. Right now, 75% of the betting public is on San Diego and 51% are on the under. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a road underdog.

Raiders are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss.

Chargers are 24-7 ATS in their last 31 games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.0.

Chargers are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.

Under is 4-1 in Raiders last 5 games on grass.

Under is 4-1 in Raiders last 5 vs. AFC.

Under is 7-1 in Chargers last 8 home games.

Under is 5-1 in Chargers last 6 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Under is 12-3-1 in the last 16 meetings in San Diego.

My Prediction: With the recent struggles of both the Raiders and Chargers, the AFC West is completely wide open. They are tied with the Chiefs for first place while the Broncos are only a game back. It’s starting to look like the NFC West before this year. Raiders RB Darren McFadden will be out another week, so more pressure will be put on Carson Palmer who looked a little better last week than he did against the Chiefs. The Chargers have all sorts of problems on defense giving up an average of 31.6 points a game in their last 3, all loses. With their defenses woes and the fact that Philip Rivers throws too many interceptions, I think the Raiders are getting too many points.

Raiders +7
