“Unlike LeBron’s NBA landscape shifting move to the Cavs last July, this year’s NBA free agency and draft have not affected the 2016 title odds significantly with the exception of the San Antonio Spurs who we have cut their odds in half from 9/1 to 9/2. The Spurs are now right up there with the Cavs at 11/4 and the Warriors at 9/2 to take it all next year. LaMarcus Aldridge joining the Spurs is the reason for this, while the Trail Blazers have drifted from 40/1 to 75/1 because of this signing and are no longer considered contenders from an odds perspective.”

“Some may think that the Nets who have been a complete disappointment up to this point and even the Knicks for that matter should have longer odds to win it all, but this early in the season as despite bad as they are, the Nets and Knicks are only two and four games out of the playoffs respectively. With the talent these teams have, we have to be careful how much we over-adjust this early in the season.”
