Predicting The Winners Of Superbowl LIX

Now that we are in 2025, the Superbowl is getting closer and closer to being on our screens and the excitement is really bubbling. As the 2024/ 2025 season comes to an end, we are slowly seeing the favorites filter out, as the best teams start to get into their winning strides.

Today, we are going to look through the teams that could win the Superbowl of 2025 and come to a final conclusion of who will be lifting the trophy.

Kansas City Chiefs

If we are all being honest, we could stop writing this page once the Chiefs part is finished as they are the clear favorites. Not just by the fans or the pundits, but the betting sites have them as favorites too. Popular UK betting site Boylesports has the Kansas City Chiefs at 3/1 to win the Super Bowl on their American Football betting page, which is high odds considering how good they are.

The Chiefs won the 2024 Superbowl and have only gotten better since, with their main issue (their defense) being sorted by coordinator Steve Spaguolo. Their main man is Patrick Mahomes, who is considered by most to be the best quarterback in the world, a point in which we agree.

His ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver bullets at all times is impeccable and with head coach Andy Reid who is known for having some of the most innovative play calling in the sport as well as their great attacking threats like Travis Kelce and Nick Bolton, the Chiefs are the favorites and for good reason.

The Detroit Lions

There is a slight fairytale story that we have heading into this year’s Superbowl and that is the rise of the Detroit Lions. Despite never making it to the Superbowl, the Lions are currently second favorites behind the Chiefs to win the whole thing and this is all because of Dan Campbell, their head coach.

This season, the Detroit Lions have had one of the best offenses in the league, with quarterback Jared Goff finding his form and playmakers like Amon-Ra St. Brown helping the Detroit Lions show why they deserve to be in this year’s conversation.

Their use of young talent has been a huge reason for their success this year, with running back Jahmyr Gibbs and defensive end Aidan Hutchinson being young players who are showing their worth. Although their current form and trajectory show an upward trend, they are still not used to being in the Superbowl or the playoffs and this may cause them to crumble as they get into the latter stages.

Overall

Although these two are the current bookie’s favorites, teams like the 49ers, and the Eagles are all also in a good position to make that push to the playoffs and Superbowl. While the Eagles will be after revenge after losing the 2023 final, the 49ers have a more well-rounded team that is solid in all positions which makes them a tough team to beat.

Anyone of these teams could go to the Superbowl and win the whole thing, but as said earlier, the Chiefs are once again the favorites. However, the only thing confirmed about this year’s Superbowl is that Kendrick Lamar will be performing in the halftime show, other than that, everything else that will happen on that field is yet to be decided.
