Prediction
We have a great series lined up this weekend in Arlington with the first place Phillies battling the surging Rangers. It’s also a pretty good pitching matchup for the series opener, and I have to favor Sanchez. He’s been brilliant for the Phils this season and is coming off a masterful eight shutout innings against the Tigers on Sunday Night Baseball. For the season, Sanchez has surrendered more than three runs just twice in his 22 starts. The Phillies come in with four wins in a row and a 2.5-game lead over the Mets. The Rangers are coming off a series win over the slumping Yankees, but lost their previous two series to Seattle and the Angels. Give me Philly here behind Sanchez.
