This year’s Orange Bowl will feature a strong running game in Georgia Tech against a very good defensive Iowa team. The Hawkeyes are ranked 10th in the Nation allowing only 15.5 points per game. The Yellow Jackets boast the Nation’s 2nd ranked rushing attack led by Jonathan Dwyer’s 1,345 yards and 14 touchdowns. QB Josh Nesbitt has also contributed 991 yards and 16 TD’s on the ground. Iowa was undefeated until QB Ricky Stanzi went down with an injury. They then lost at home to Northwestern and on the road at Ohio State. They ended the season with a 12-0 shutout of Minnesota. Stanzi doesn’t have all that impressive numbers, but he’s a leader and will be ready for this game. I expect a low scoring game with Iowa keeping it close.
