Lions fans called, they will be thankful for a showing this Thanksgiving Football Thursday! Any kind of showing would be nice but a win would be an unexpected and early Christmas gift. Do the Lions have any chance in this game whatsoever? Maybe, look at their record and you be the judge.
The Cowboys welcome the Chargers for this Thanksgiving feast and they are reeling from a beat down from the Eagles. Can the Cowboys right this ship on a short week and do the Chargers ride high on the coattails of their blowout win over Buffalo? The Cowboys aren’t that good folks and this one will be interesting. Vegas has very little confidence in the Bolts at +1. Is this fool’s gold? Let’s be honest, the Chargers come in looking a lot better, but and a very big but exists here; it is Thanksgiving and it is in Dallas.
Topping off the night and the day’s festivities will be a much more competitive game than one might be led to believe. The Giants travel to the nation’s capital to take on Kirk Cousins and the Redskins. Both teams are suffering right now and the Giants are coming off a very big win against Kansas City. At the end of the day, the Redskins have two more wins than the Giants and they are not looking that special. The Redskins will have to dig deep and figure this one out. Save the turkey and stuffing for later. They will need every last minute to win this one.

Vikings vs. Lions
The Lions come into this one on a three game winning streak and looking to make noise in the division and although the Vikings have a 2 game lead, they may not have the momentum. The Lions have kept it close in every loss with exception of the Saints and to boot; they have already beaten the Vikings. Forget about Thanksgiving and forget about tradition, that may work on some level in Dallas but it won’t work in Detroit. What will work in Detroit is Matthew Stafford and company getting after it. This game will be a classic, it will be close and there will be no cranberry sauce left. So get your meal in early and buckle up with some pumpkin pie for this one. The Vikings held the Rams to 7 points on Sunday and put the hammer down while picking up their 6th in a row. They are not going down easily. Look for a fight to the finish.
Prediction: Over 44
Chargers vs. Cowboys
Are the 4-6 Chargers up for the challenge and can they beat the Cowboys on Thanksgiving? Why not? Of course the Chargers can beat the Cowboys and they will give it their best effort. You can count on a battle from the Chargers as they are finding their groove. The Chargers find themselves in a great position and often the phrase “we control our own destiny” is overused, but this is the best example of the very best time to use this phrase.
The Cowboys took it on the chin this past Sunday to a much better Eagles team. They didn’t get beat, they got rocked. In Dallas, this was a stinking beat down and an embarrassment. Without Ezekiel Elliot, don’t expect miracles. This one could be competitive depending on what Chargers team shows up. Phillip Rivers will be ready and his team needs this win. The Cowboys are clearly going nowhere in the playoff chase and the Chargers can make a statement and even win the AFC West. Look for these guys to be fired up for a thanksgiving upset, (although not much of one at +1).
Prediction: No Snow, no Leon Lett and no win! Chargers +1

Giants vs. Redskins
The New York Football Giants started out the season on a 5 game losing streak to the Cowboys, Lions, Eagles, Buccaneers, and Chargers. Game five was pay dirt, and on the road against Denver. The Broncos have not won a game since, coincidently enough. Most fans felt that the Giants were better than what the record indicates and that the win in Denver could turn this ship around. Wrong! The Giants went promptly out and lost the next three in a row to the Seahawks, Rams, and 49’ers. The first few loses for the Giants were better than the last three and head coach McAdoo continues to look lost. However, they pick up a big win against the Chiefs on Sunday and they hope to ride the momentum.
The Redskins are not much better and this season has quickly turned into a nightmare. When Dan Snyder quits, then maybe this poor franchise will have some sort of success. Every year it’s the same for this once proud organization. Every year the fans get stuck with broken promises and failure. This year is a huge disappointment for the Redskins and worse, for the long enduring fans of our nation’s capital. Can they beat the Giants? Who knows? Both teams are bad and honestly the Giants are better defensively. Let’s go ahead and give this one to Eli. It will be a close one, a competitive one and a fun way to end a great day of Thanksgiving. Eli conjures up memories of holiday fun in the back yard with big brother Peyton and finds inspiration.
Prediction: Giants +7.5
