The best home team and one of the best road teams in the majors will open a three-game set on Friday night. Washington has been one of the biggest surprises this season and it has everything to do with their offense. They lead the league in runs per game and are in the thick of the wild card race. Cavalli has been pretty solid all season and gives the Nats a chance every time out. Jax has been pitching well also, but his team can not get him a win. The Rays have dropped each of his last four starts and he doesn’t pitch well at home. I’ll take the dog here.
