Louisiana Tech vs TCU Spread, Trends, and Free Pick – 2011 Poinsettia Bowl ]]> include($base_url . “/includes/header.htm”); ?>
The point spread for this year’s Poinsettia Bowl between the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and TCU Horned Frogs opened up at -10 in favor of the Frogs at Bovada Sportsbook on 12/12/11. As of Friday morning, the line has moved up to 10.5. Bovada hasn’t released a total, but most books have it set at 55.5. Right now, 59% of the betting public are on TCU. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight. Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0. Bulldogs are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall. Horned Frogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. WAC. Horned Frogs are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. Over is 4-1 in Bulldogs last 5 games on grass. Under is 5-2 in Bulldogs last 7 games overall. Under is 7-0-1 in Horned Frogs last 8 bowl games. Under is 7-1 in Horned Frogs last 8 vs. WAC. My Prediction: At first look, this appears to be a mismatch and TCU blowout. Not so fast. The Bulldogs are one of the hottest teams in the nation right now. They won their last 7 games including 5 on the road to take the WAC Championship. They are also a remarkable 7-0 ATS away from home so a trip to San Diego shouldn’t be a problem for this team. TCU can rack up the points, but not as well as they did last year with Andy Dalton. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bulldogs won this game outright.
