Lakers Win 17th NBA Championship Title

The lengthy wait is over, as the Lakers won their first NBA title since back in 2010. This was following a dominant NBA championship final victory over the Miami Heat inside the AdventHealth Arena. This was great news for fans, who had continued to support the side throughout the series, with LeBron James again being the difference for the Lakers. It meant they landed the odds, following starting as the favourites, as they returned to the top of the sport. The Lakers then took a 2-0 lead in the series with a hard fought 124-114 victory. The opening period proved to be the difference, with just four points separating the two sides in the final half of the match. LeBron James scored a team high of 33 points for the side, helping them to this important victory.

Game 3 – Heat win 115-104

Miami Heat then needed to win, in order to keep the series alive. They produced a strong performance to win the third match, with Jimmy Butler starring for the side, with a stunning 40 points.

Game 4 – Lakers win 102-96

The Lakers then picked up another victory, which put them within one victory of the NBA championship. This saw them win 102-96, in another very close encounter. LeBron James was again the difference, as he led for the Lakers with 28 points.

Game 5 – Heat win 111-108

The series was not over yet, with Miami heat picking up another all-important victory. It was a very close match, with just three points separating the two sides. It again turned out to be all about Jimmy Butler, who scored 35 points for Heat.

Game 6 – Lakers win 106-93

The Lakers then wrapped up the championship with a dominant game six performance. LeBron James again starred for the Lakers and helped lead them to their 17th NBA championship.
