The point spread for Monday night’s Big 12 showdown between the Kansas State Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks opened up at -8 in favor of the Jayhawks on Sunday afternoon. The total opened up at 129. As of Sunday night, the spread and total have not moved. So far, 64% of the betting public is on K-State. Here are the latest trends for this game:
Wildcats are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win.
Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
Jayhawks are 19-9 ATS in their last 28 Monday games.
Jayhawks are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss.
Over is 9-3 in Wildcats last 12 vs. Big 12.
Under is 5-2 in Wildcats last 7 vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
Under is 8-0 in Jayhawks last 8 Monday games.
Under is 7-2 in Jayhawks last 9 overall.
Favorite is 23-7 ATS in the last 30 meetings.
Home team is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings.
My Prediction: A couple of weeks ago the Jayhawks had a strong-hold on the Big 12. They have now lost 3 games in a row for the first time since 2005. The Wildcats have now overtaken first place by winning their last 4. Something tells me that Kansas will get it’s act together for tonight’s rivalry game, but I do like the way K-State is playing lately. I’m looking for a Kansas win by less than 8.
