The point spread for Tuesday’s contest between the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers opened up at PICKEM at BetOnline.com on Monday afternoon and the total was set at 194.5. The spread has moved up to -1.5 in favor of the Heat as of Monday night and the total has gone up to 197.5. So far, 88% of the betting public is on the Heat and 53% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.
Heat are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
Heat are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
Pacers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Tuesday games.
Under is 4-1-1 in Heat last 6 vs. Eastern Conference.
Over is 3-1-1 in Heat last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
Over is 4-1 in Pacers last 5 vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.
Over is 11-3 in Pacers last 14 games playing on 2 days rest.
Heat are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
Under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Indiana.
My Prediction: The Miami Heat are starting to find their groove a bit, while the Pacers are struggling after a good start to the season. The Heat have now won 9 of 11 after last night’s win in Milwaukee. The Pacers got the last 2 days off after losing their 3rd in a row and 4th of 5. Those trends and the fact that Miami is arguably the best team in the NBA, leads me to believe that should be an easy win. I’m looking more at the fact that the Heat will be playing their 3rd road game in 3 nights and the Pacers are rested, at home, and are hungry for a win. The betting public will be big on the Heat, so I’ll take the home team in this one.
