Duke and Gonzaga have not played since December of 2009 when the Blue Devils overwhelmed the Zags 76-41. That was a long time ago and this year’s Gonzaga team might be their best ever. They have only lost 2 games all year and are in prime position to advance to their first ever Final Four. Even though Kyle Wiltjer was held in check by UCLA, Przemek Karnowski stepped up in a big way with 18 points and 9 rebounds on 8 of 11 shooting. Guards Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell, Jr. shot a combined 4 for 17. They’ll need to be better against Duke.

The Blue Devils have recently been led by Justise Winslow, who poured in 21 points on 8 of 13 shooting and also grabbed 10 rebounds. Duke cruised in their first 2 games as expected then got a little trouble from a solid Utah team. Jahil Okafor who scored over 20 points in his previous 3 games was held to only 6 points against the Utes. I expect him to be more involved against Gonzaga today.
This should be an entertaining matchup especially in the paint. I really think Gonzaga has the edge in this one. Look for Pangos and Bell to get more open looks and make Duke pay. The Zags finally get to the Final Four.
PICK: Gonzaga +2.5
