Prediction
The good news in this contest is that the winner will be .500 and no more than one game out of the division lead. The loser will be 0-2 and in for a long season. The Commanders have the better personnel on offense despite having a rookie quarterback making his second start. Jayden Daniels first start wasn’t awful (17-of-24, 184 yards, zero TD, zero INT) and he did show his speed, running for 88 yards. Daniels has weapons and it’s only a matter of time before they start gelling. The Giants were booed off the field in an embarrassing 28-6 home loss to Sam Darnold and the Vikings. Daniel Jones is obviously not the answer and he’s missing Saquon Barkley even more now. I’ll call for an ugly Commanders win and cover in their home opener.
