Boise State (13-0) vs TCU (12-0)
Recent Meetings It’s the battle of the little guys tonight in Glendale, Arizona. Boise State and TCU both feel they deserve a shot at the National Championship game. They both certainly have the stats to be considered, but they just don’t have the strength of schedule to sway the voters and computers. I really wish these teams weren’t playing each other and instead playing one of the big BCS schools like Florida, Iowa, or Ohio State. Boise QB Kellen Moore has unbelievable numbers this year. He’s thrown 39 touchdowns to only 3 interceptions. They also have a couple of good running backs in Jeremy Avery (1132 yards 6 TD) and Doug Martin (709 yards 14 TD). Boise’s best chance might be through the air, though. TCU’s defense is ranked number 1 overall and 3rd against the run. Of course, passing won’t be easy either as the Frogs are 4th Nationally against the pass as well. On offense, TCU is lead by QB Andy Dalton. He has thrown 22 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions this year. They also have 4 guys with at least 500 yards rushing this year including Dalton. You might expect this to be an offensive slugfest, but these defenses are really good despite the lack of competition this year. I think TCU has been more tested this year and that their defense is actually much better than Boise’s. Take the Frogs. Pick: TCU -7 CLICK HERE TO BET THE FIESTA BOWL!
