All season long, I’ve been going against Dallas and have been riding the Lions. That hasn’t worked out so well, so I’m going to change course and back the Cowboys in this one. They have been playing well lately, especially on defense since they added a few pieces at the trade deadline. They have won and covered 3 in a row and that includes wins over Philly and Kansas City. We know the offense is good, but with the improved defense, nobody wants to see this team in the wild card round of the playoffs.
Detroit has not been the same team as last season. They have lost 3 of 5, scoring just 9 points against the Eagles, beating the lowly Giants in overtime, and then losing last Thursday to Green Bay. The Packers racked up 359 yards of total offense and the Giants had 517 against the Lions the week before. Dak and company should be able to carve up this defense and come away with the win. Give me the 3 points.
