The top two teams in the Eastern Conference square off on Wednesday night as the Boston Celtics host the Cleveland Cavaliers. With just a few games left on the schedule, this matchup could determine who gets the No. 1 seed in the postseason. Both teams are currently 50-27 after Cleveland’s win last night – Boston was off. After spending most of the year chasing down Cleveland, the Celtics finally caught up to them last week as the Cavs continued their late-season slump, which saw the defending champs go 7-10 SU and 6-11-1 ATS in March. It all began with a 103-99 loss at the Garden; Cleveland was a 1-point favorite in that contest, as Celtics PG Isaiah Thomas led all scorers with 31 points.
Cleveland is in better health for this rematch on Wednesday. Kevin Love is back at power forward for Cleveland, and the Celtics could be without SF Jae Crowder, who’s listed as questionable for Wednesday after having his sore left elbow X-rayed on Sunday. Avery Bradley might also have to sit out for Boston at shooting guard after missing back-to-back games with the flu. Crowder and Bradley combined for 28 points and 12 rebounds in their last game against Cleveland.

Cleveland has been horrible all season in the second game of a back-to-back on the road. They got the victory last night, but Boston is rested and eager for this matchup. I’m looking for Boston to roll in this game. It may be close for a half, but the Celtics will wear down Cleveland by the end of the game.
