The Philadelphia 76ers will look to play a full 48 minutes this time around when they host the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The Sixers were on their way to their eighth win in nine games until they lost focus in a putrid fourth quarter in Monday’s 105-101 loss in Memphis. Philadelphia committed 10 of their 24 turnovers in the fourth quarter and were outscored 31-18 by the Grizzlies. Philadelphia is one game ahead of Detroit for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and will look to start another streak before heading out on a long road trip. The Sixers are just 11-10 at home and 11-11 on the road. The Bulls are 1-1 on their current three-game road trip after dropping a double-overtime thriller in New Orleans on Monday, blowing a 17-point lead late in regulation. Chicago also had 24 turnovers and was 8-for-31 from 3-point range while falling to 7-17 on the road. The Bulls are six games behind Philadelphia in the standings, but are 1-0 against them this season and have won seven straight at Wells Fargo Center.

Guard Jerian Grant is filling in while Kris Dunn remains in concussion protocol and he had one of his best performances of the season with 22 points and 13 assists in the double-overtime contest against New Orleans. Five others scored at least 14 points and the Bulls had a chance to win in regulation but Justin Holiday’s free throw rimmed out. Power forward Lauri Markkanen recorded a season-high 17 rebounds, but is 0-for-8 from 3-point range over the last two games. Philadelphia received nice efforts from unexpected sources as Dario Saric led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to the Grizzlies, while Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot had his second straight big game with 20 points while making 6-of-8 from long range. Luwawu-Cabarrot is averaging 18 points over the last two games and he’s hit 9-of-13 from three-point territory, while filling in as a starter while fellow guards Jerryd Bayless (wrist) and JJ Redick (leg) are sidelined. Center Joel Embiid has five double-doubles in seven games this month and is averaging 23.3 points and 11.4 rebounds in January. The Sixers will begin a four-game road trip in San Antonio on Friday night.
