Arizona and Wisconsin meet once again as they did exactly one year ago when Wisconsin held of Arizona 64-63 in overtime to advance to the Final Four. Frank Kaminsky led the Badgers with 28 points and 11 rebounds in that contest on 11 of 20 shooting. In this year’s tournament, he’s averaging 20.6 points and 9 rebounds a game. Arizona has looked pretty impressive in their 3 wins thus far winning by an average of 14.6 points a game. Their last win over Xavier was their toughest so far, but they used a 19-7 run to close out the Musketeers 68-60. Guard T.J. McConnell is playing well above his season averages this tournament. He only averages 10.3 points a game, but has scored in double figures in each of his last 7 games and is not turning the ball over that much.
I’ve been waiting for this matchup all March long. This game could literally go either way, but I’m giving the edge to Arizona based on athleticism and the revenge factor from last year. They are also playing closer to home than Wisconsin which gives them a slight advantage.
PICK: Arizona -1.5
