PHILADELPHIA EAGLES(1-3 SU, 1-3 ATS) at NEW YORK JETS (1-4 SU, 1-3-1 ATS)

Both teams are off to weak starts, but onlyone was expected to flounder in the early going. The Eagleswere expected to do some very good – if not great– things this season, but so far Donovan McNabb andcompany have disappointed. Maybe the bye week helped themget it together. Philadelphia is 1-4 SU in its past fivegames and 2-4-1 ATS in its past seven. They’ve beenno better, at least ATS, on the road, going 3-6 in theirpast nine games away from home. Fortunately for the Eagles, the Jets are worse, going 1-5 SU and 1-4-1 ATS in theirpast six. The total has gone over in 12 of the Jets past15 home games. The teams last met in 2003, when the Eagleswon 24-17 at home.

ST. LOUIS RAMS (0-5 SU, 0-5 ATS)at BALTIMORE RAVENS (3-2 SU, 0-5 ATS)

While Baltimore is obviously a much betterteam, neither of these squads seems to be able to coverthe spread. Together, they are 0-10 ATS this season. AfterSunday, one of them will at least be 1-5 ATS. The Rams aredreadful on the road against non-divisional opponents, going9-27-2. Conversely, the Ravens are 22-7 as non-divisionhome favorites and they have brought home the bacon in 13of their past 18 as favorites against NFC teams. St. Louishas gone over in 23 off 33 games as road underdogs of sevenpoints or more, and in 15 of 22 as non-conference dogs.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS (3-1 SU, 2-1-1 ATS) at GREENBAY PACKERS (4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS)

Washington is 5-10 ATS afterscoring 28 points or more. Green Bay has failed to coverthe spread as home favorites at a rate of 5-11-1 ATS. TheRedskins defeated Detroit 34-3 as a 4-point favorite lastweek, while the Packers suffered their first loss of theseason, a 27-20 setback to their division rival ChicagoBears, as a 3-point favorite. The total has gone under infour of Washington’s past five games overall, and in fourof its past five against Green Bay. The Redskins are 2-3-1ATS in their past six games, and 2-4 SU in their past sixagainst Green Bay. The Packers are a dominating 5-0 ATSin their past five against Washington, 8-1 SU in their pastnine, and 5-1 ATS in their past six.

CAROLINA PANTHERS (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS) at ST. LOUISCARDINALS (3-2 SU, 4-0-1 ATS)

Will Carolina start newly acquired veteranquarterback Vinny Testaverde? They just might, and thatcould change this game, at least from an ATS standpoint.Arizona has been a great investment since the middle oflast season, getting the money at an amazing 10-1-1 clip. However, the Cardinals tend to rest on their laurels, going4-11 ATS at home after a SU and ATS win. Carolina has postedan 18-7-2 spread mark on the road. The Panthers have failedin nine of 12 ATS when coming off a SU divisional road win. They have gone over in 15 of their past 25 on the road.

OAKLAND RAIDERS (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS)at SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS)

In this California matchup, San Diego hasmade money in seven of its past eight against the Raiders. The Chargers are 25-10 ATS after a win by 15 points or more.San Diego coach Norv Turner is a dismal 1-11 as a divisionfavorite of more than five points. The Raiders are 11-22ATS recently on the road. They have covered nine of 11 gamesas road underdogs when coming off a SU win in October. Theunder has cashed in 14 of the past 18 series matchups atSan Diego. The Chargers have been under in 14 of 21 as divisionhome favorites.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (0-4 SU, 0-4ATS) at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (3-2 SU, 2-2-1 ATS)

Eventually, the Saints will win a game. But chances are,it won’t be Sunday in Seattle. These teams last metSept. 12, 2004, a 21-7 win for the Seahawks in the Superdome.New Orleans is 1-4 ATS in its past five games against Seattle.Overall, New Orleans has covered in 14 of 20 games as roadunderdogs of six points or more. NEW YORK GIANTS (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS) AT ATLANTA FALCONS(1-4 SU, 3-2 ATS)

The New York Giants are not the best betwhen playing small favorite on the road, going 7-18 as roadfavorites of three points or more. On the other hand, NewYork has cashed in eight of nine games away from home whencoming off back-to-back SU wins in October. Atlanta is apitiful 4-16 ATS at home when facing teams with a winningrecord and 4-11-1 as home underdogs. In a rare bright spotfor the Falcons, they are 3-1 ATS in their past four appearanceson Monday Night Football, while the Giants are just 2-6-1.
