The NBA is an exciting sport to bet on and one of the best things about betting on basketball this sport is the overall pace of the game. The games are fast, there is very little stopping, the points often come quick, the action is back and forth and before you know it, halftime is a minute or two away and you are checking out those first-half numbers to see where you are going to land.
There are tons of options when it comes to betting on the NBA such as the first half, the second half, quarters, first and second half totals, quarter totals, and many great prop lines. Look for an offshore sportsbook that gives you these options and one that offers a fair bonus, and fast payouts. There is a lot of money to be made playing the NBA.
Bucks (4-6, 4-4-0 ATS) Vs. 76ers (8-3, 6-3-0 ATS)
Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA , 7:30 ET, TNT
76ers (+6.5 -105) Bucks (-6.5 -115) O/U 222.5 – ML Bucks -270, 76ers +220
For all intent and purpose, the 76ers had a good season last year with an overall record of 49-23, while going 31-11 against the Eastern Conference. The team averaged 113.6 ppg and went 33.9% from three-point land.
The Bucks finished their season with a 49-26 record while going 30-12 against the Eastern Conference. The one major difference between the two, of course, was the Bucks winning their first NBA title in decades. The Bucks scored 114.2 ppg and managed to shoot 45.6% from the field.
Normally, we would love the competitive nature of this game. It would be fun, it would be raucous, this kind of matchup always is. The 76ers come in with their stars out of the game. Ben Simmons is out (back) not sure when he’s coming back, and Joel Embid is out for health and safety protocol (COVID), along with Thybulle, Riller, Harris, and Joe. The Bucks are short DiVincenzo, Middleton, and Lopez.
Prediction: We have to like the Buck in this game. Although they come in having lost four of the last five, and the 76ers have won four of the last five, and to boot, this one is in Philly. The injuries are simply too much. The Bucks win this on the Money Line, the spread, the first half, and the first quarter. We think the total goes under 222.5.
Hawks (4-7, 3-7-0 ATS) Vs. Jazz (7-3, 6-4-0 ATS)
Vivint Arena, Salt Lake City, UT, 9:00 ET Local
Line Utah -7.5, O/U 221.5
The Jazz are looking for their 4th straight at home and we think they get it. They are playing great basketball to open the season at 7-3. Of course, the player to keep your eye on in this one would be Trey Young who is averaging 23.7 ppg and shooting 42.3% from the floor. Mitchell is averaging 25.8 ppg for the Jazz and shooting 41.8%. This one will be fun, and definitely, that fast paces excitement that west coast basketball brings. Look for a high-scoring affair. The Jazz finished last season with a 31-5 record at home, while the Hawks went 16-20 on the road – while allowing 111.4 ppg.
AmericasBookie Prediction: (Jazz -7.5) (Jazz -4 1st half) (Over 221.5) (1st half – Over 111) (1st quarter Jazz -2)
